Special Low-Endotoxin Filter Sheet for Precoat Filtration with Minimum Loss of Product
BECO PR ENDURA S
The application of Eaton’s BECO PR ENDURA S in precoat filtration, particularly for cake harvesting as part of plasma fractionation, ensures safe and economic filtration results. Product loss during cake harvesting is minimized due to the extremely smooth and hydrophobic surface of BECO PR ENDURA S. The high wet bursting strength of BECO PR ENDURA S further simplifies cake harvest through secure handling. Even if the intention is to extract the filtrate as a resource substance during precoat filtration, product loss is minimized due to the low suction volume (small thickness and hydrophobic matrix) of BECO PR ENDURA S.
Standard Support Sheet in Low-Endotoxin Design
BECO PR ENDURA
Eaton’s BECO PR ENDURA support sheet combines the positive mechanical and filtration characteristics according to the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. This support sheet is suitable for precoating with a variety filter aids and is frequently used for the separation of activated carbon (e.g. for decolorization of antibiotics). Due to its high synthetic fiber content, Eaton’s BECO PR ENDURA has high chemical resistance, even for solutions with extreme pH values.
Endotoxin Content of the BECO PR ENDURA Range*
In order to determine the endotoxin content, support sheets are rinsed with endotoxin-free water.

BECOPAD P
BECOPAD P
The BECOPAD P depth filter sheets with extremely low endotoxin content (<0.025 EU/ml) after rinsing with 0.61 gal/ft² (25 l/m²) WFI (Water for Injection) and up to 50% reduction of rinse volume are composed of high-purity cellulose. Eaton’s manufacturing method assure consistent product quality and the hightest purity of filter media to meet the manufacturing requirements of pharmaceutical products plus the regulatory need for risk avoidance.
These depth filter sheets can be used for a wide range of applications, including clarification of ethanol solutions which have a tendency for ion-related precipitation, catalyst removal, and separation tasks in the production of biopharmaceutical products. Due to low charge-specific adsorption effects and mechanical separation they can preserve the desired target ingredients in the filtrate.

Due to their high retention capacity for colloidal ingredients, these sheet types are particularly suitable as prefilters for subsequent membrane filtration.
Microbe Reduction and Fine Filtration
BECO SD 30, KDS 15, KDS 12, KD 10, KD 7, KD 5 – depth filter sheets for achieving a high degree of clarification.
These sheet types reliably retain ultra-fine particles and have a germ-reducing effect, making them particularly suitable for haze-free filtering of liquids prior to storing and bottling.
Clarifying Filtration and Coarse Filtration
BECO KD 3, K 2, K 1 – depth filter sheets with large-volume cavity structure.
These depth filter sheets have a high holding capacity for particles and are especially suitable for clarifying filtration applications.

BECO CPS
BECO CPS
BECO CPS depth filter sheets are used for clarifying filtration in the chemical, cosmetic and food industries. The filter sheets remove particles of a coarse, crystalline, amorphous or gel-like structure perfectly. An extremely wide range of filtration tasks can be performed according to given specifications, even with highly viscous liquids.

FILTER MATERIAL
Cellulose with mineral components (CP2KS / CP2KS without mineral components)
RETENTION
Coarse, clarifying and fine filtration
MAX. OPERATING TEMPERATURE
FDA, EC1935
Core features
- High dirt-holding capacity for economic filtration
- Differentiated fiber and cavity structure (internal surface area) for the widest possible range of applications and operating conditions
- The ideal combination of filtration-active and adsorptive properties ensures maximum safety
- Very pure raw materials and therefore minimum influence on filtrates
- Comprehensive quality assurance for all raw and auxiliary materials and intensive in-process controls ensure consistent quality of the finished products
Special Depth Filters
BECO CP1KS, CP2KS
- High-purity cellulose
- Low washable ions
- No mineral components
- Near complete catalyst separation at high flow rates
- Near complete catalyst recovery
These special BECO depth filter sheets were developed for highest demands in the chemical industry. By using and selecting high-purity cellulose, the content of washable ions is exceptionally low. Since these depth filters contain no mineral components, there are only traces of iron and aluminum migration. Complete separation of catalysts at high flow rates is also possible using Eaton’s BECO CPS depth filter sheets. Subsequent ashing enables virtually loss-free and nearly complete recovery of catalysts.
Coarse Filtration
BECO CP07S, CP03S, CP02S, CP01S
BECO depth filters with filter-active, mineral components for clarification of liquids with a coarser crystalline and amorphous, or gel-like particle structure and is suitable for high-viscosity liquids
Applications:
- Concentrated sugar solution
- Active earth separation
- Resin melts
- Insulation oils
- Boiled linseed oils
- Nail varnish
- Ointment base
- Syrup
- Cooking oils
- Vegetable extracts
- Gelatin broths
- Paint
- Polymer dispersions
- Filtration of Fuller's earth
Applications:
- Beer
- Wine
- Fruit juice
- Fruit wine
- Fine chemicals
- Pharmaceuticals
