The Eaton BECO COMPACT PLATE 200 SF/ASF plate and frame filters are adapted to the specific practical requirements of small filtration quantities. The stationary filter frame with central, manual rightening spindle and filter and frame elements made from stainless steel, AISI 316 L, can be equipped with a maximum filter area of 1.02 m².

Eaton’s depth filtration system for small volume filtration tasks in laboratories and research centers. The areas of application include small batches and upscaling in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetics and foodstuff industries. Eaton’s BECO COMPACT PLATE 200 filter is a high-class multi sheet filter with high compression of the depth filter sheets.

BECOPAD P depth filter media are cationic, characterized by charge-related adsorption during filtration. Additionally, the filter medium has very low soluble ion content, especially calcium, magnesium, and aluminum. The chemical resistance and bursting strength is extremely high. Therefore, is suitable for applications involving mechanical separation of particles and adsorptive retention of negatively charged particles.

Due to the minimum endotoxin content and the increased endotoxin reduction, the filter medium is ideal for pharmaceutical processes.

BECO MiniCap P filters have a filter area of 3.3 in² (21 cm²). With a filtration volume of 0.26 – 2.6 gal (1 – 10 liter), they are suitable for laboratory applications and scale-up trials.

The PR range, specifically for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications, has an innovative production process that ensures the endotoxin content is less than 0.125 EU/ml. Eaton’s BECODISC P stacked disc cartridges with BECOPAD P depth filter sheets are composed of high-purity cellulose. The filter medium is characterized by low extractables, an extremely low endotoxin content (<0.025 EU/ml) after rinsing with 0.61 gal/ft² (25 l/m²) WFI (Water for Injection) and up to 50% reduced rinse volume.

It can be used for a wide range of applications, including clarification of ethanol solutions which have a tendency for ion-related precipitation, catalyst removal, and separation tasks in the production of biopharmaceutical products.

Eaton’s manufacturing method for BECOPAD P depth filters assure consistent product quality and the hightest purity of filter media to meet the manufacturing requirements of pharmaceutical products plus the regulatory need for risk avoidance. These depth filter sheets offer preservation of desired target ingredients in filtrate due to low charge-specific adsorption effects and mechanical separation in pharmaceutical applications.

The BECODISC stacked disc cartridges for coarse filtration have filter active components with a mineral basis for clarification of liquids with coarse crystalline and amorphous or gelatinous particle structures. These cartridges are suitable for highly viscous liquids.

Special Stacked Disc Cartridges with Low Ash Content

B27T, B40T

The BECODISC special stacked disc cartridges with low ash content were designed to meet the high filtration demands of the chemical industry. By the implementation and selection of high-purity filter cellulose, the content of washable ions is remarkably low. These stacked disc cartridges are produced with components containing low ions; therefore, the migration of iron or aluminum ions can be reduced to the detection limit.

  • Polishing filtration of concentrated sugar solutions of approx. 65 °Brix

Germ-reducing Filtration

BECODISC stacked disc cartridges boast high germ retention rates achieved through the fine-pored structure and an electrokinetic potential with an adsorptive effect. These stacked disc cartridges are characterized by high endotoxin retention rates. Due to their great retention capacity for colloidal components, these filter sheets are particularly suitable as prefilters for subsequent membrane filtration.
